I have just been to take a look at our sweetcorn plants.
I’m not convinced our corn on the cob are going to be plate fillers this year, however, they do look nice and healthy.
Note the bamboo support which although in a sheltered spot, was required during the high winds earlier this week.
I am looking forward to seeing them on a plate with a knob of butter.
They certainly do look green and lush!
The tassles need to turn brown and the cobs to ripen, for which they really need some warm sun! Fingers crossed.
I hope they are delicious when you finally get to taste them.
